Boreholes and vault at the Oklahoma Geological Survey near Leonard, Oklahoma.
Depths are in feet (each vertical line=100') and temperatures are in degrees
Fahrenheit. The boreholes and their contained seismometers were funded by
DARPA (Glasnost bore), LLNL/DOE (reworked Leonard Bore), and DEPSCoR/DARPA
(reworked Crosstimbers bore, drilled it 300' deeper, and cased and cemented
entire length). The Leonard bore is filled with water, the others are dry.
